Butcher’s Broom (Ruscus Aculeatus (Butcherbroom) Root Extract):
root extract of Ruscus is widely used, both for internal use and for topical use, for its significant trophic and protective properties at the blood vessels level.. The effects consist in the regulation of vascular tone and stabilization of capillary permeability, resulting in a strong tonic action on the vessel wall, and in a significantly improved peripheral microcirculation. Their beneficial properties of the microcirculation, affected by capillary fragility, are effective in order to improve the appearance of the skin affected by cellulite. The extracts of butcher’s broom are widely used in topical preparations for tired and heavy legs affected by venous insufficiency.

And one of the most used medicinal plants in cosmetics, especially for its anti-redness and soothing properties and its ability to promote the regeneration of the epidermis and dermis. It carries out stimulant properties of skin cell metabolism and vasoprotective in the microcirculation. In particular flavonoids, have an important anti-inflammatory effect on sensitive and inflamed skin. They stimulate epithelialization, accelerate epidermal turnover and promote the synthesis of collagen. The Calendula extract also improve the hydration of the epidermis and stimulate blood circulation in the skin, making the skin more elastic and therefore more resistant to mechanical and chemical irritation and combat sagging skin.
Centella (Centella Asiatica Extract):
possesses remarkable properties that modulate the action of fibroblasts and stimulate the production of collagen. Thanks to its healing and restorative action, Centella Asiatica counteracts the loss of elasticity and the formation of wrinkles and stretch marks. It is a mixture of triterpene saponins extracted from Aesculus hippocastanum. The ?-aescin is considered the main molecule responsible for the protection of the vessels. It has anti-edema action, antiexudative and antioxidant. It carries out a strong, draining and detoxifying action useful in cases of accumulation of toxins, it promotes microcirculation and cell turnover, carries out a vasoprotective action and strengthens the connective tissue vessel. It can be used in cosmetics mainly in preparations for the treatment of cellulite. In preparations for the legs and the hygiene of the feet it is useful in order to reduce swelling and excessive dilatation of venules, to lessen the sense of fatigue and stimulate the circulation device. The Escine increases vasoconstriction of the veins and capillaries, increases the contraction of smooth muscles in the blood vessel walls, increases the strength and elasticity of capillaries and diminishes considerably its permeability and thus its leakage to the surrounding tissue.
Menthol (Menthol):
is a cyclic monoterpene, active ingredient that comes from the essential oil of peppermint. It can be found in different kind of cosmetic products due to its many properties. It is used in cryocosmetics (from the greek kryos, cold) in order to fight and reduce cellulite and help reshaping the silhouette.
